The Copan MRSA kit is intended for the collection and transport of clinical specimens and for the isolation/identification of MRSA among other supported aerobes, anaerobes and fastidious bacteria. The kit comprises swabs that allow to collect specimens from the patient for MRSA investigation (e.g. throat, perineum and nose). The kit also contains a medium for the pooling of the samples. Copan flocked swabs releasing capacity allows to completely elute the collected specimen into the liquid medium instantaneously through a simple “swirling technique” developed and validated by Copan, thus enabling to mix three different swabs into a medium tube that can be processed for bacterial culture, antigens or nucleic acids detection.On demand made-to-measure (combinations of kits) is possible, please contact our commercial department for more information.MLS is the exclusive LBM (Liquid Based Microbiology) dealer in the Benelux.
