Cellwax Plus (S) / 20KG (sack) Cellpath
CellWax Plus is highly purified and filtered white translucent paraffin wax that provides great tensile strength and improved elasticity when sectioning. The embedding wax is characterised by low resistance to cutting, superb continuing of ribboning and no cracking or tearing on flotation. Ultra-filtered and pure to ensure no contamination of specimens or knife damage. Pelletised to ensure rapid melt-down and convenience of use. The paraffin wax is blended with plastic polymers to produce a high-quality product that improves the elasticity and sectioning properties of the final block. Melting point of 54-57°C, will remain stable when molten for long periods. DMSO-free.

This is a precisely formulated wax repellent that can not only be used to stop paraffin from adhering to laboratory countertops, but also to clean or act as a barrier on metal, wood and plastic surfaces. Xylene-free and non-toxic repellent with a pleasant smell.Application: simply spray onto a cloth and then apply a thin layer to the relevant surface.Not recommended for use on items that come in direct contact with ribbons, such as microtome blades, blade holders or base moulds.
