With flat bottom: excellent optical characteristics, suitable for precise optical measurements - the geometry has no influence on the measuring light and is suitable for microscopy applications (bottom reading).
With round bottom: no rims - well suited for pipetting, used for agglutination tests and “+/-” evaluations.
