Designed to efficiently dry paraffin sections and to remove stubborn wrinkles from tissue sections.

• Hotplate coated with a matt, black anti-bacterial powder coating to provide a visual contrast for paraffin tissue sections and to inhibit bacteria and virus growth.

• Variable temperature control gives the ability to set temperature to exact specimen requirements.
• 4 (re)movable rails to accelerate drying (allows heated air to pass underneath the slides) and to slope slides at a 10° angle to encourage water drain off.

This hotplate differs from the Slimline version through its width. It is designed for use in high workload laboratories with a large capacity work surface for paraffin tissue section drying.

The CellTec mini hotplate has a very small footprint, making it ideal for use at the microtome. It is predominantly used to remove stubborn wrinkles from tissue sections and for re-orientating embedded tissue. It may also be used in microbiology for heat fixing bacterial smears.
